The most ignored benefit of using a password manager is having an inventory of all your accounts.

During risk assessments (we'll pretend you're being given time and space to do those) it is worth broadening the scope of your footprint to unexpected places. Spending the time and resources to have a good look at yourself through the eyes of someone else. If the idea that there is likely someone whose job (or passion project) it is to investigate you the way you deep dive into a subject for a story doesn't send chills down your spine you might have been better than me at keeping a low profile online.

A if a vetted candidate for office has a public list of his personal network can you imagine what you have that doesn't come to mind when you're prepping to publish? Demanding tools and resources to secure yourself in the face of attacks you know are coming should be as fundamental to the journalists playbook as protecting sources and fact checking.

The guides, tools, and experts exist already, what you need is access and time.
